Carol Rochnia

Back in 2005, Carol Rochnia discovered the English concertina, to which she took with great enthusiasm.  This led Carol to rediscover her love of folk music - and to open up new paths for her as a performer.
As a member of
Powsowdie, Carol sings and plays concertina, accordion and autoharp, as well as providing strong musical direction for the group.

In addition to her musical activities, Carol continues is a regular performer of poetry, both her own and  Jack Slater's .  Take a look at Carol on YouTube [or take a look down to your right], where you can see some of her recent readings at the Poetry Fireside Hour at the Monkey, Thurgoland.

Over the years, Carol has been very active in theatre, but she is currently resting from the stage, concentrating on music and poetry
